Begin by purifying your heart and committing to imitate the virtues of the Sacred Heart.
The journey into consecration begins not with external action, but with interior purification. Christ calls us to prepare our hearts—cleansing them through repentance, especially in the sacrament of confession, so that grace may dwell richly within us . The Sacred Heart is not only to be contemplated, but imitated. Jesus explicitly invites us into the “school of His Heart,” where we are formed in the essential virtues that shaped His earthly life: humility, obedience, purity, patience, and love of the cross. These virtues are not optional—they are the architecture of holiness. Humility frees us from the illusion of self-sufficiency; obedience aligns our will with divine providence; purity orders our desires toward God; patience strengthens us in trials; and love of suffering unites us to Christ’s redemptive mission. This path is narrow and often demanding, but it leads to transformation. The Heart of Jesus becomes both refuge and teacher, forming us into apostles who radiate divine light. Today is an invitation to begin again—to die to the “old man” within us and to step into a new life shaped by grace. This is the first movement toward becoming truly Set Apart for Him.
