Draw your strength from the Sacred Heart, especially in moments of weakness and trial.
Today the Sacred Heart reveals itself as our source of strength, especially in moments of trial and weakness. The Christian life is not lived without difficulty; it is marked by challenges, temptations, and seasons of struggle. Yet we are not called to face these realities alone. The Heart of Jesus becomes our strength, our refuge, and our sustaining grace . When we feel weak, overwhelmed, or discouraged, it is precisely then that we are invited to draw closer to Him. The world often teaches us to rely on our own abilities, to push through difficulties with sheer determination. But the Sacred Heart teaches a different path: dependence on grace. True strength is not found in self-sufficiency, but in surrender. When we acknowledge our weakness and turn to Christ, we allow His power to work within us. As St. Paul reminds us, “when I am weak, then I am strong”—because it is Christ who strengthens us. This strength is not always dramatic or visible. Often, it is quiet and interior—the strength to persevere in prayer, to remain faithful in our duties, to resist temptation, and to endure suffering with trust. The Sacred Heart does not always remove our trials, but He gives us the grace to carry them. Today is an invitation to shift our reliance. Instead of looking inward or outward for strength, we are called to look upward—to the Heart of Jesus. In Him, we find the courage to continue, the peace to endure, and the grace to overcome. This is the strength of a soul rooted in Christ, a soul that lives not by its own power, but by divine love—a life truly Set Apart for Him.
